Product Description
American muscle model car decals are the stripe kits, hood blackouts, engine callouts and badges that define classic US performance cars - reproduced as waterslide markings sized for 1/25, 1/24, 1/18 and 1/16 scale kits, from Shelby and Yenko style packages to plain factory rally stripes.
Stripe kits and body graphics
Muscle car identity sits in the stripes. We reproduce twin rally stripes, side C-stripes, rocker and hood-to-tail graphics, and two-tone break lines, then fit them to the actual panel lengths of your kit rather than scaling a generic sheet. Width, gap and radius at the nose and tail are matched to the reference car so the stripes terminate where they should.
- Full-length kits: hood, roof, boot and bumper sections supplied as one coordinated set
- Correct gaps: stripe spacing tuned to scale so 1/25 and 1/18 both look right
- Panel-break cuts: pre-cut at doors and shut lines for a factory look
- Metallic and solid: gold, silver and body-tone stripes printed with matching underlay
Hood blackouts, callouts and badges
Matte and satin blackout panels, shaker and cowl hood treatments, engine displacement callouts, model script, and small badges all print on the same sheet. Fine script lettering is redrawn from reference so the badge reads correctly at 1/24, where many aftermarket sheets turn into blobs.
Underhood and detail markings
Air cleaner labels, valve cover tags, battery and radiator decals, jack instructions, tyre pressure stickers and trim tags complete an engine bay that judges look at closely. These are printed on clear film so they sit flush on painted or bare surfaces.
Colour matching for period paints
Muscle car colours are period specific - a 1970 stripe colour is not the same as a 1968 one. Send paint codes, photos of the real car, or a sample of the paint you used on the model, and we match the stripe and callout colours to it. Metallic and pearlescent references are matched under a D50 viewing light.
Film choice: white base or clear
Solid stripes over a light body usually print on clear film so the base colour shows through. Blackouts, white lettering and any graphic going over a dark body print on white base so the colour stays dense. Both options use the same ultra-thin carrier that vanishes under clear coat.
Ordering and lead times
Send kit brand and scale, plus reference photos. We return a proof showing placement within 24 hours on working days. Physical samples take about 5 to 7 days, and repeat runs are kept on file so a second batch matches the first exactly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you match a specific factory stripe colour?
Yes. Send the paint code, a photo of an original car, or the paint you used on the model. We match under a D50 viewing light and show the result in the proof before printing, including for metallic and pearlescent stripes.
Do the stripe kits fit any kit brand?
We size them to your specific kit. Tell us the brand, scale and body style, and the stripe lengths, gaps and nose radius are adjusted to that shell. If you are unsure, send a photo of the bare body with a ruler in frame and we will scale from it.
Are white and black stripe options both available?
Yes. White, black, gold, silver, red and body-tone stripes are all produced. White and light graphics over dark paint need a white underlay, which we add automatically so the colour does not turn translucent.
Can I order underhood and interior detail decals together?
Yes. Combine stripes, badges, underhood labels and gauge faces on one mixed sheet. This keeps the order economical and ensures all the small markings share the same print run and colour consistency.
What is the smallest script you can print clearly?
On 1/24 we can hold model script and small callouts when the original lettering is at least about 2 mm tall on the model. Below that we thicken strokes slightly and flag it in the proof so you can decide.
How many sheets does a typical muscle car build need?
Most builds fit on one A4 sheet: stripe kit plus badges, callouts and underhood labels. Larger 1/16 and 1/12 builds may need two sheets because the stripe sections get longer. We confirm layout before printing.
